Hunting
at Butcher Creek Outfitters

The Details

We strictly adhere to and maintain all local, state, and federal hunting laws, rules & regulations in an effort to keep our guests, and our land, safe. All hunting guests must possess a valid Montana state hunting license as well as any official hunting tags, permits, or stamps applicable to the desired hunt. You can learn more about Montana hunting laws and licensing from Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks. Our staff can assist

guests with the licensing and permit process if needed.

We also offer bear, coyote, mountain lion, and wolf hunts on a limited, case by case basis. These particular hunts vastly differ from the other hunting packages we offer, and the regulations change season to season. Please contact us for more information.

While we encourage sharing the experience with accompanying friends and family, only four (4) hunters will be permitted to actively hunt on property at one time. Please refer to "Hunting Packages” for more information.

The Wildlife

Upland Game Birds

Mountain Grouse, Turkey: September - January

Pheasants: October - January

Butcher Creek Outfitters provides an experience far beyond your typical bird hunt. Here, you won’t be walking straight paths in an open field. Instead, you’ll find diverse terrain filled with meadows, creek beds, draws, outcroppings, thickets, ridges, ponds and creeks.  This is bird hunting at its finest.

Whitetail Deer

October - November

Northwest Montana offers one of the most beautiful, healthy whitetail deer populations in existence. Due to the region’s lush vegetation and nutrient-rich diet, whitetail deer provide some of the most delicious meat you’ll ever taste.

Whether this is your first hunting experience or you are a seasoned hunter, our staff is prepared to be with you every step of the way. If you are looking for a trophy big game hunt, we offer stalking, hunting blinds and tree stands. Please note, Butcher Creek Outfitters does not permit the harvesting of any does. Bucks must be a minimum of 4 points (per side).
